A Dream That Stirs The Soul

A DREAM THAT STIRS THE SOUL:

"If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there."  The Cheshire Cat stated in the movie Alice in Wonderland and that is by far the truest statement I have heard in years.  With out a destination we are lost within our selves.  We as a people always strive for greatness in our lives and yet the new generations of today live in a world of instant gratification.  We (as generation X & Y) have dreams of grandeur and yet we are unwilling to work hard & work smart for long enough in order to reach our dreams.  According to Chris Brady's "Formula for High Achievement" in order to achieve great things you need 3 components, those are 1) Hard Work which includes 'The Law of Averages' continuing to do the things you need to enough to be great at it, 'Belief' in knowing what you are doing is right and 'Knowing That You Deserve' to do great things with your life.  2)Smart Work which includes 'Amplifying Your Strength' and 'Minimizing Your Weakness' and 3) is Time, in order to gain Higher Achievement you must put in enough time to become good at working hard and most of all working smart.

Of course working hard & working smart is very important but most of all, you need to have something that drives you.  Something that you can put in front of you to keep you fighting, struggling, and honest.  Long term vision is one of the keys to success.  The ability to keep fighting during the struggle to achieve your victories.  What does it take to dream?  What would be a good dream for you?  Would being completely debt-free be one?  Taking a full trip around the world, another?  Having a bank account that has comas instead of negative signs?  Although these are just fun dreams that I have, but what steps did I have to take to get to this point?  I had a series of questions to answer for myself.  For instance, dig deep into your past, back to your inner child, think 10 years ago, what would your inner child say when you asked him/her what you wanted to be when you grow up?  Here are a couple more questions you can ask yourself; would my inner child be proud of who I am today?  If I won the lottery and only had a month to spend it what would I spend it on?  A new car?  Great, what model, what make, what colour, what colour of interior?  These are all questions that must be answered before you can really focus on before making your dreams come alive.  You need to be able to define what you want before you are able to achieve it.  The best example of that is 'Define' what you want out of life, 'Learn' from someone who has the lifestyle you want, 'Do' what they did.  "The fastest way through a minefield is in the footsteps of someone who has made it through."

Now I can tell you all of my dreams but that is not what this is about that is for another post sometime in the future.  What this was designed to do was instill some sort of hope in a way.  Help yourself dream a little.  Please stay tuned for more posts soon.
